2025 IDEA Conference Student Artwork Entry Form
Thank you for your interest in submitting student artwork. The Arizona Department of Education Exceptional Student Services (ADE/ESS) is thrilled to announce the display of artwork from students with disabilities during the 2025 IDEA Conference! Complete the form below to submit artwork from an eligible youth or young adult student artist. Please review the details below for some important information:
Before you start: This entry form may be difficult for a student to complete independently. Please ask for support from a parent, teacher, or another helpful adult when needed. Email the IDEA Conference Inbox with any questions you have.
Artwork can be submitted if the artist is:
between the ages of 3 and 26
identified as a person with a disability
an Arizona student
A "student" is a youth or young adult who is currently attending, or has recently attended, an Arizona public school, charter school, or approved private school. (note: if you are uncertain whether your school allows you to meet this criterion, please email the IDEA Conference Inbox).
Parents/guardians, teachers, student groups, and community art organizations are also encouraged to submit artwork on behalf of a youth/young adult student. Parental/guardian consent is needed to submit artwork entries from students under the age of 18 or any student with a guardian.
Artwork Criteria:
The ADE/ESS asks that student artwork be submitted digitally. Please submit a high-quality image of the artwork through this form. The ADE/ESS will select artwork to showcase on the conference’s digital platform, and print, frame, and display artwork during the event. Entries must be of the original artwork created by the student. Email the IDEA Conference Inbox for help or questions about this process.
There are no limitations to the colors or materials a student may use to create his or her artwork. Artwork may not depict acts of violence, offensive language, nudity, or other content deemed inappropriate.
Original artwork that cannot be displayed as a printed piece (e.g., sculptures, three-dimensional pieces, and other art where it is critical to display the art in its original medium) may still be considered. An ADE/ESS staff member will connect with you to coordinate the delivery of the physical artwork. The ADE/ESS cannot accept video or audio-recorded artwork at this time. However, please reach out to the conference coordinators if there is an interest to showcase a student’s performance during the IDEA Conference.
The ADE/ESS reserves the right to not display digital or physical artwork due to conference space limitations or any artwork that fails to meet the standard of appropriate content. We ask that physical artwork be kept to a maximum size of 18” X 22” and have the capability of being hung for display.
What to Expect:
Each student's first name, grade, and associated school will be displayed with their artwork.
The student and/or individual submitting an entry form will be contacted to confirm receipt and acceptance of each piece of artwork.
Students with displayed artwork will receive a certificate of participation and a photo of their artwork exhibited during the conference.
